Who are we

Problem solvers.

Keep is a family-owned Canberra bookkeeping practice and registered BAS agent. We specialise in Xero and hospitality, backed by virtual CFO support, business strategy and systemisation.

Keep grew out of years of helping small businesses, and the urge to build one of our own. The team and client base have grown since, but working with good people to get good outcomes is still the point.

Alongside hospitality, we have deep experience in construction, professional services and digital commerce, and work with businesses of any size in any industry.

We stay on top of the day-to-day so there are fewer hours and fewer missed opportunities at the end of the financial year.

Hospitality

From the floor up.

Chefs working the line in an open restaurant kitchen during service

We didn’t find hospitality. We came from it. Fifteen years in the industry taught us that venues are won and lost in the margins: a roster costing more than the week can carry, beverage costs creeping past budget. That’s why we report weekly, against budgets we set with you, so you see the problem while you can still fix it.

Every week you get

  • Your true weekly profit. Sales, food and beverage costs, wages and overheads, each against the budget you set, with rent and annual costs spread across the year so one big bill doesn’t make a good week look bad.
  • Wages as they actually fell. Labour for the week worked, not the week paid, split front and back of house, with hours against sales.
  • A daily till check. POS takings matched to EFTPOS, cash, tips and ordering apps day by day, so a short till is a Tuesday conversation, not a month-end mystery.
  • A pack for owners and a page for managers. Owners get the full picture, including cash position and who you owe. Managers get one page showing only what they control.

Then we tell you what we see. A beverage cost that looks too good is usually a keg invoice that hasn’t been entered, and we’ll say so.

Ezio Senatore

Ezio Senatore

Partner

Ezio applies hard work, dedication and perseverance to everything he does which is why he wound up with an economics degree at ANU despite the challenges of being a first-generation immigrant. His studies took another meaning after he saw his father lose his job which sparked his interest in business, insolvency and the factors that lead to business failure. It’s not all work, though. Ezio enjoys hanging out with his Italian Spinone, Bruno, going to the gym, watching Formula 1 and baking the best Amaretti according to everyone in the Senatore family.

Gianmarco Senatore

Gianmarco Senatore

Managing Director

Gianmarco, Gee to most, has spent 15 years in hospitality, including five running two successful venues while completing a Bachelor of Business majoring in International Business Relations. As well as pouring some of Canberra’s best coffee, he learnt business strategy and systemisation on the floor, finding ways to run leaner and grow. Today he leads Keep as its registered BAS agent. He still loves making espresso, but spends more of his free time coaching youth soccer, playing golf and trying new restaurants.
